The Christmas Period

We had a great Christmas. I went on a baking frenzy with my favourite being my gingerbread house all made and decorated from scratch.

Father Christmas came and left Jonathan some presents and we added the ones from the family to the pile, we all got rather spoilt. Father Christmas ate his mince pie and drank his sherry and the reindeer ate the carrot  we left out for them.

Christmas morning Tony cooked a lovely big breakfast for all of us and then we got started on the presents until Jonathan went up for a nap. Buddy loved destroying the toy Uncle Marty got for him as well as playing with the wrapping paper. Jonathan had fun playing with the wrapping paper too. Amazingly there wasn't any duplicate presents.

After the presents we all went for a walk to build up an appetite for our Christmas dinner. Dinner managed to get Tony a bit flustered because he decided everything was going well so decided on another couple of side dishes which he then wished he hadn't. Dinner was very yummy though with our 3 bird roast om nom nom.

Boxing Day was pretty uneventful with yummy bubble and squeak with left over bird and pickles.

27th December was a big family get together in Bicester. There was 3 babies there as well as everyone else. Jonathan was great whilst we were there enjoying himself so much that he didn't want to have a nap. This was fine until the journey home where he was so tired he couldn't get to sleep and screamed all the way home.

New years eve me and Jonathan went to a party at the Gundersen's for a couple of hours where he had fun playing with trains and the bubble machine. he also at cocktail sausages and sausage rolls all by himself with no help. We then went and picked Tony up from work. Whilst Tony put Jonathan to bed I got started on our tea which was steak salad and wedges for later in the evening. When it got to midnight we wished each other a happy new year and Jonathan must have sensed it because he woke up. He wasn't really crying so I bought him down so we could both wish him a happy new year he was all smiles and then went back to bed on another 4oz milk. He slept in till 9am the next day.
