Hospital visit

I never made it to my midwife appointment on Monday, it was cancelled due to the snow. That evening though I had to call Tony home from work to take me to the labour ward. I was getting contractions every 10 minutes. When we arrived my contractions were stronger and more frequent they had me on the monitor it was going from about 12 up to 70+, rather scary. They did a speculum to check the probability of a premature labour if negative it's 99% accurate, if positive it's 50% accurate, mine came back positive so they decided to keep me in.
I stayed in till Thursday, thankfully the contractions slowed down and soon stopped and Crumpets heartbeat was nice and strong, we had another scan which checked all the measurements and everything was right on track. They sent me home with some paracetamol and codeine in case the pains come back and I had to assure them if I get any more pains or loss of waters, blood to phone them and make sure they know my test had come back positive. So for now Crumpet is staying in the warm but I am still at risk of a premature labour. I have to have another scan at 34 weeks to double check everything.

Tony is working this Christmas so we are having our Christmas day tomorrow (Boxing Day), so I've set reminders on sky for all the programmes I want to watch and will be on my laptop until the man of my dreams comes home from work tonight.

Update

Well I'm 31 weeks today, suffering with morning sickness again which may possibly be due to an extremely active baby kicking my insides to pieces. My ribs are all bruised and hurt with the slightest movement. I've got a midwife appointment today which will be interesting to get to after about 10 inches snow last night. I'm hoping my midwife will change soon as the one I have is totally useless.

Buddy is loving the snow at the moment he just goes mental running around eating the snow. He comes in looking like Buddy Clause.

It was Mum and Dad's silver wedding anniversary last week, they came to stay with us for the week which was great although poor Tony came down with the flu, he was really disappointed that he couldn't come to Coal's Bar and Grill with us but we had a lovely time and Mum and Dad loved their present from us which we made ourselves, it was a framed poster of things to do with their anniversary like the cost of living etc, they couldn't stop looking at it which was brilliant.

Tony treated me to a Spa day on Saturday it was great, I had an Indian head massage, facial and pedicure. I felt great afterwards soooooooo relaxed. I'm very lucky to have Tony in my life he is amazing, and yes I AM being soppy
